Wax Pack Flashback: Starlog (1993)

Wax Pack Flashback is going exclusive! While Mickey and I are on hiatus from recording After Hours each week, we both will be contributing to exclusive content. Mickey has been recording his Junk Food Report podcast and now, I will be doing a series of Wax Pack Flashback videos that only VIPs will get to see!

While compiling several trading packs to open over the last year or so, I’ve found some that have puzzled me. “These really exist?” I’ve caught myself saying a couple times. So rather than sit on them any longer, I thought it would be a great time share some bonus content with our VIPs by opening them on Wax Pack Flashback. We’ll be looking at random and weird sets mainly, but also ones that I just never knew existed.

Leading things off is Starlog magazine cards from 1993. These are akin to the Worst of Mad Magazine cards that we opened during the first season of Wax Pack Flashback where they are primarily magazine covers. While that may seem weird to reprint covers, these cards are a fun look back at sci-fi movies and TV shows of years past. They also gave a chance to pull holograms and promo cards in each pack which I actually did find!

Watch the Starlog opening video below and see a sneak peek of what’s to come in this exclusive series in this first episode. Thanks for being a VIP!
