Introducing “The Retro Resurgence Podcast”

Hello Everyone. Ken and myself, Chad, who joined the TRN Patreon around the same time back a few years ago, got the itch to do some podcasting and want to introduce everyone to the trailer for our new podcast, The Retro Resurgence!

There’s about a 9 year age gap between Ken and me, so our memories and recollections should cover a wide range of years of the 80’s and 90’s – which we feel is right in the wheelhouse of Geekster. When we both found TRN/Geekster, we immediately gravitated to the TRN Time Machine Podcast hosted by Jason and Mickey, often putting in comments and suggestions on their infamous Retro Rumble Podcasts. We take inspiration from that podcast and others in which we listen to and see what we can contribute to the Retro Community.

We plan to release two episodes per month on various topics such as toys (Ken’s Favorite), TV & movies, video games, food, tech, clothing and style, pop culture, sports, and much more – sharing our personal memories and thoughts. Each episode Ken will share a curated Top Toy List of new and upcoming toys hitting the market, and I’ll share a notable anniversary of an important event or product from our childhood. We’ll also give a toast to a influential celebrity or pop-culture icon of the 80’s or 90’s that has recently left us.

Join us as we steer the ship along this nostalgic journey through our childhood, teen, and early adult years. Yes, our hands are on the wheel, but we’ll sort of let the ship guide us as it may and we’ll see where it takes us. The one thing we promise is that we look forward to adding ourselves as 2 more retro-minded dudes to the growing community of podcasters and bloggers, and hope that you’ll have fun listening with us along the ride.

THE RETRO RESURGENCE PODCAST! Look for the trailer episode to drop on most streaming platforms now. Episode 1 coming in September!

Tech Person by trade. Grew up mainly in the 90's and most of my nostalgia is derived from that decade. Sports, Tech, and Video Games are my main interests, and love to explore the graphics and aesthetics of the 80's and 90's through old tv commercials, product packaging, and print ads.
