The House Show: Saturday Night’s Main Event 5 – Five Count

Five! Five! Three isn’t good enough.

Welcome to the fifth episode of Season 3 of The House Show and the first episode to feature legendary gargantuan heel, King Kong Bundy. Saturday Night’s Main Event 5 takes place weeks before WrestleMania 2. On this show Bundy has an iconic moment with then WWF World champion Hulk Hogan.

This episode aired March 1, 1986 (taped Februrary 15) from the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, Arizona for 12,000 fans. There is a lot of WrestleMania 2 set up featuring the aforementioned Bundy and Hogan but also Mr T, Roddy Piper, the Dream Team, and the British Bulldogs.

Your trios tag team champions break down all the action plus take our signature tangents. Kevin gives an update on home security. Matty updates us on his AEW figure collection and finances. Kevin worries too much about Vince McMahon’s coffee. We continue our debate on what language and innuendo they got away with in the 1980s. The art of selling. The debut of the Real American video. Plus a deep discussion on Adorable Adrian Adonis.

Saturday Night’s Main Event 5 matches include:

  • Mr T vs Bob Orton (with Roddy Piper) in a Boxing match.
  • King Kong Bundy (with Bobby Heenan) vs Steve Gatorwolf.
  • Hulk Hogan (WWF World champion) vs Magnificent Muraco (with Bobby Heenan).

Next, they covered all of the WCW Halloween Havoc events finishing out 2020. Now in 2020, they will be going back to WWF for all the Saturday Night’s Main Event shows. This trios team has been watching wrestling all their lives and debating the outcomes since high school.
