MeTV is once again rolling out its annual October celebration of classic horror, bringing viewers a full month of spooky double features anchored by Svengoolie and House of Svengoolie. The network’s long‑running horror host Rich Koz marks his 47th year as Svengoolie, while Saturday nights will also feature House of Svengoolie with The Sven Squad: Sarah Palmer as Gwengoolie, Scott Gryder as IMP, and Bill Leff as Nostalgiaferatoo.
This year’s lineup mixes vintage monsters, cult favorites, and even a dose of Oz magic. MeTV will air The Wizard of Oz twice during the month, including a special presentation hosted by Lisa Whelchel and Svengoolie. Additional Oz‑themed programming will appear across the schedule, including a themed episode of Collector’s Call and a Lansbury‑hosted special.
Svengoolie airs Saturdays at 8 PM (available in most MeTV markets), followed by House of Svengoolie later in the evening. Below is the full October schedule.
Saturday, October 3 7P | 6C – Svengoolie: The Wizard of Oz Dorothy Gale and Toto are swept from Kansas to the Land of Oz, where they join the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion on a quest to meet the Wizard.
10P | 9C – House of Svengoolie: Invisible Man Returns A coal miner framed for murder takes a drug that grants invisibility… and madness.
Saturday, October 10 8P | 7C – Svengoolie: Munster Go Home The Munsters travel to England after Herman learns he’s the new Lord of Munster Hall.

Saturday, October 24 8P | 7C – Svengoolie: Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man The Wolf Man seeks a cure and turns to a scientist who claims he can help—and revive Frankenstein’s monster.
10:30P | 9:30C – House of Svengoolie: Revenge of the Creature Captured from the Black Lagoon, the Creature becomes an aquarium attraction… until he escapes.
Saturday, October 31 7P | 6C – Svengoolie: The Wizard of Oz Dorothy’s journey through Oz returns for a Halloween encore.
10P | 9C – Svengoolie: Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark (1973) A couple inherits an old mansion inhabited by small, demon‑like creatures intent on claiming the wife as one of their own.
