Greatest Lists S1: #50 The Touch by Stan Bush

The Retro Network welcomes a new podcast! Greatest Lists is a Music + Talk podcast featuring lists of the greatest songs of all time. Each season, hosts Eric and Jason will select a category and then count down their picks, one song at a time.

The first season of Greatest Lists will feature the Top 50 ’80s Movie Soundtrack Songs. The ground rules are songs that were released as a part of an official movie soundtrack. This can include any song and not just those that were released as a single or charted in the Top 40. But this stipulation rules out songs like “Cruel Summer” that was played in The Karate Kid but wasn’t released on the official soundtrack. Another would be Yello’s “Oh Yeah” from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off which never had an official soundtrack release.

Eric and Jason compiled a master list and then narrowed it to 50 songs with each host choosing 25. In the debut episode of Greatest List, the #50 selection is revealed as “The Touch” by Stan Bush. This was Jason’s pick mainly for his personal nostalgia of Transformers: The Movie and how much he’s witnessed the song live on among his peers.
