MeTV’s Svengoolie’s BOO-Nanza Is Back This October For More Halloween Fun

Halloween just wouldn’t feel complete without Svengoolie’s signature blend of horror and humor, and in October 2025, MeTV is bringing back the beloved BOO-Nanza for its fourth spine-tingling year. Starting Saturday, October 4, fans can settle in for a month-long celebration of monsters, mayhem, and movie magic, hosted by Rich Koz as Svengoolie and his quirky Sven Squad.

Every Saturday night, viewers are treated to a double feature: one classic horror or sci-fi flick followed by The House of Svengoolie, a second film hosted by the Sven Squad…Sarah Palmer as Gwengoolie, Scott Gryder as IMP, and Bill Leff as Nostalgiaferatoo. Together, they deliver tricks, treats, and plenty of campy commentary.

Highlights from the BOO-Nanza Lineup

  • October 4 kicks off with Don Knotts in The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, followed by the psychological thriller Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? starring Bette Davis and Joan Crawford.
  • October 11 features atomic-age terror in Them! and creepy crawly chaos in Arachnophobia, with Jeff Daniels and John Goodman.
  • October 18 brings a Saturday morning treat with Cartoon BOO-Nanza, showcasing spooky Bugs Bunny classics. That night, it’s Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein followed by Boris Karloff’s iconic Frankenstein (1931).
  • October 19 offers a special episode of Collector’s Call, spotlighting Phil Meenan’s jaw-dropping Frankenstein collection, including rare props and monster memorabilia.
  • October 25 rounds out the month with Vincent Price in The Fly and its sequel Return of the Fly, both hosted with ghoulish flair.

MeTV’s Toon In With Me joins the festivities with its own “BOO Bash,” airing weekday mornings from October 20–31. Each episode explores eerie themes, from Edgar Allan Poe tales and zombie makeovers to haunted houses and mad scientists. It’s a playful mix of nostalgia and fright, perfect for fans of vintage animation and Halloween traditions.

With Svengoolie at the helm and a lineup packed with monsters, misfits, and movie legends, MeTV’s BOO-Nanza is a love letter to classic horror and the joy of Halloween TV. Whether you’re tuning in for the laughs, the scares, or the memories, this October promises to be a scream.
