MeTV Is Now Airing Old Episodes of Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom

Get ready to answer the call of the wild again! Starting Sunday, July 6, 2025, MeTV is bringing back one of television’s most iconic nature series: Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom. Airing every Sunday morning from 7 to 10 a.m. ET/PT, the classic show will once again transport viewers to the most remote corners of the planet, just like it did when it first debuted in 1963.

Hosted by the legendary Marlin Perkins, and later joined by Jim Fowler and Peter Gros, Wild Kingdom was a pioneer in wildlife television. With its globe-trotting adventures and groundbreaking footage, the show introduced millions of viewers to exotic animals and faraway ecosystems, long before streaming or nature channels existed.

Over its original 25-year run, the series aired 330 episodes, earned four Emmy Awards, and reached an audience of over 34 million viewers at its peak. It wasn’t just entertainment, it was education, conservation, and awe-inspiring storytelling rolled into one.

Now, more than 60 years after its debut, Wild Kingdom is returning to the small screen in its original form on MeTV. To find MeTV in your area, visit metv.com/wheretowatch.
