The 90s environmental hero Captain Planet and his Planeteers are making a return in comic book form this April when Dynamite Entertainment launches an all-new Captain Planet series!
Written by David Pepose (Space Ghost) with art from Eman Casallos (Vampirella), the series is described as an “energized yet faithful modernization of the franchise”, which launched back in 1990 with the Saturday morning cartoon series Captain Planet and the Planeteers from Turner Program Services and DIC Enterprises.
But this isn’t just the same old Captain Planet, as he is returning with a whole new look. Check out the cover artwork from the first issue below for a sneak peak at the new look:
