This ninth edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event took place December 14, 1986 (aired January 3, 1987) at the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, Connecticut for 10,000 fans. A huge match takes place tonight as Hulk Hogan defends his world title against Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff inside of a classic WWF big blue steel cage. This is an iconic match of the era and we give it all of the love and attention it deserves.
In other conversations, we discuss Orndorff as a potential world champion. The build up to WrestleMania III. The Hogan vs Heenan feud. Opinions on faces vs heels when we were kids and now as adults. What makes a King? And how much money would it take to avoid a fight?
