TRN Podcast 040 – Favorite ’80s Wrestlers

Jason and Mickey return to talk retro wrestling (or as Mickey calls it, rasslin!) With Wrestlemania coming up this weekend, we’ll be going back to the ’80s to relive the glory days of wrestling. We’ve also found several Recurrent Events headlines to pass along including:

  • The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee trailer
  • Dragon’s Lair movie adaption with Ryan Reynolds
  • Destro added to G.I. Joe Classified
  • Bacon Studded Buns at Burger King in Germany

In this week’s TRN Time Machine segment sponsored by the RetroDaze, Jason and Mickey dropkick their way back to the ’80s to reveal their Top 5 favorite wrestlers. First, we lead off the conversation with how we initially were introduced to pro wrestling and what shows we watched. Then we drop an elbow on the competition with our picks and the reasons why we chose them. Plus, several of our listeners chimed in on Twitter with their favorite ’80s wrestlers so we’ll read back those tweets to end the Time Machine.

Finally, we finish up the show by telling you about next week’s podcast poll and everything coming this week on The Retro Network and our Patreon page.
