MeTV is kicking off June with a full month dedicated to one of television’s most beloved sitcoms. Beginning June 8, the network will celebrate The Golden Girls with a special programming event titled “The Golden Girls of Summer.” Each week will spotlight one member of the Miami foursome, featuring curated episodes that showcase their sharpest lines, funniest moments, and most memorable storylines.
The celebration begins with Dorothy Zbornak, played by Bea Arthur, whose dry wit and no‑nonsense delivery made her one of the show’s defining voices. The following weeks will highlight Betty White’s sweetly off‑kilter Rose Nylund, Rue McClanahan’s scene‑stealing Blanche Devereaux, and Estelle Getty’s iconic Sophia Petrillo, whose tough love and rapid‑fire insults earned her an Emmy nomination for every season of the series.
Episodes will air weeknights at 10 pm and 10:30 pm (ET/PT) throughout June and into early July. MeTV has organized each week around a single character, offering fans a chance to revisit classic stories, from Dorothy’s run‑ins with her ex‑husband Stanley to Rose’s St. Olaf adventures, Blanche’s romantic escapades, and Sophia’s unforgettable one‑liners.
