MeTV is turning the entire month of May into a celebration of one of television’s most beloved towns. “Month of Mayberry” kicks off May 3 and runs all month long, featuring classic episodes, reunion specials, TV movies, and themed weekly lineups dedicated to The Andy Griffith Show and its unforgettable cast of characters.
The event begins Sunday, May 3, with the 1986 made‑for‑TV reunion movie Return to Mayberry, airing at 2P | 1C. The film brings Andy Taylor back home to run for sheriff, only to discover that Barney Fife has entered the race as well.
Throughout May, MeTV will spotlight different corners of Mayberry with themed programming blocks:
May 4–7: “All About Andy” Week
A collection of classic episodes centered on Andy Taylor.
Friday, May 8 at 8P | 7C: The Andy Griffith Show Reunion: Back to Mayberry
This 1993 special reunites the original cast on the iconic courtroom set to reflect on the show’s legacy. Featured guests include Andy Griffith, Ron Howard, Rodney Dillard, and Don Knotts.
May 11–15: “The Fife Is Right” Week
A full week of memorable Barney Fife episodes.
May 18–22: “Best of the Rest” Week
Spotlighting fan‑favorite supporting characters including Aunt Bee, Floyd, Ernest T. Bass, Gomer, Goober, and Otis.
May 25–29: “Father and Son” Week

Fans can catch The Andy Griffith Show on MeTV weeknights at 8 and 8:30, and Sundays at 12 PM in most MeTV markets.
